Due to family history and several years worth of a general lack of attention to my increasingly terrible eating habits, I am what most physicians would call a high risk for high blood pressure. The fact that my unofficial check of my blood pressure last time I gave it a whirl was high enough to illicit several gasps meant that it was time to do some research on things I could do to help stabilize my blood pressure.
Of course all of the initial suggestions included the things that these sorts of searches will always include. They suggested healthier eating, particularly cutting out high salts, saturated fats, red meat and large amounts of dairy. They suggested as they always would more vegetables and fruit. Then of course they suggested a wide array of cardiovascular exercise.
The next thing that every site suggested and the most immediate and least lifestyle rattling suggestion was to include fish oil supplements in my daily routine. These fish oil pills apparently are a great way to stabilize your blood pressure and have a wide array of other healthy affects as well. I’m glad that I found them because while I may not be perfect with the other healthy suggestions I can start to make those changes knowing this fish oil has my back.
