Too Many Multivitamins?

Posted by TimD in Diet | Digestive Health | General Health Advice | Supplements | Vitamins

Many people seem curious about vitamins, particularly multivitamins and whether you can take too many. Keeping a close eye on how many vitamin fortified foods you are eating throughout the day is a good way to keep track of how many vitamins you can safely imbibe.

Multivitamins are a great way to make up for various deficiencies in your diet. Some of us simply do not have the time to eat the allotted quantities of fruits and vegetables we are supposed to have in a day. Some of us simply do not like fruit and vegetables. It’s sad but it is totally true. What vitamins to take and whether or not you can take too many of them. These are valid questions. By and large most people say that over taking multivitamins is not common. You can however over dose on certain common multivitamin ingredients like iron and potassium. That said, there are reasons to more closely exam the ingredients printed on your multivitamin’s labels.

Being healthy is rarely helped by simply downing a large amount of a medicine. Dosages, even with something as seemingly harmless as multivitamins, are put on containers for a reason. Finding a healthy lifestyle is reliant on you figuring out a way to balance not only the bad things you do but also the good.
