Causes For Acidophilus Deficiency

Posted by TimD in Diet | Digestive Health | General Health Advice | Probiotic supplements | Supplements

As we have discussed before, acidophilus supplements are designed to replace good bacteria that helps with digestion in the body. The question I wondered was since acidophilus appears naturally in several areas of the digestive tract, why would someone need the assistance of supplements for this?

Like all things in the body producing acidophilus can only happen if the body is being maintained in certain ways. If unhealthy eating and poor lifestyle habits are occurring then the body may have trouble keeping up it’s natural level of the good bacteria. One of the major things that leads to a lack of acidophilus is a diet that is over loaded with sugar and processed foods. The body needs natural nutrients to keep up healthy functionality and so these foods fail to get the body generating the good bacteria required to properly digest food. Stress is also said to affect the generation of acidophilus, leading to many digestive problems.

In both of these cases acidophilus supplements can help bolster the body’s ability to digest. If you are finding that you are having trouble digesting acidophilus supplements might be a great first step to managing the problem. Fixing your diet and trying to live a little more stress free are great second steps.
