If you want to stay on top of your game you need to make sure your body is getting all the proper nutrients. The body is a hard-working machine and with each day we need to refuel it. But with what? Depending on our diets, any pre-existing conditions, and level of exercise our needs fluctuate. It can sometimes be difficult to tell exactly what we’re missing and how it will affect our muscle and organ health. That’s where multivitamins come in to save the day.
Multivitamins generally cover all the bases: vitamins A, B, C, D, and E, folic acid, potassium, zinc, calcium, magnesium, iron, et al. Some are tailored for specific needs, some will be lacking ingredients. The best multivitamin will contain everything you need. In cases where you need extra protein supplements or Omega-3 fatty acids you should also look into fish oil pills. Overall, though, you should be fine with your daily vitamins and minerals.
Don’t ever begin a dietary change or pill administration without consulting a physician first. Everybody is a little different and you may have allergies to certain ingredients. It’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your health.
